Richard Sands
Founder, Chairman & Member Manager
Founder and Chairman of LRG Energy LLC and the Managing Member of its affiliated operating companies; Ponderosa TX Operating LLC, Large Operating LLC and D10 Energy LLC. Founded Casimir Capital L.P., a natural resource investment bank, and served as the firm’s President and COO since 2001 – Led over 200 capital raises in the oil and gas, mining, metals and minerals industries for approximately $5 billion. Prior to founding Casimir, from 1991 through 2001, he was senior Managing Director of Sands Brothers & Co. Ltd., a NYSE member firm at the time. From 1989 through 1991, Richard was a Metals Trader at Bomar Resources, a physical commodity trading Firm. From 1987 through 1989, Mr. Sands worked in Sales and Trading at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Inc. Mr. Sands Received a B.A. from Hamilton College in 1987.
